Thunder detector (lightning indicator)
Trávníček, Tomáš ; Rampl, Ivan (referee) ; Chmelař, Milan (advisor)
The aim of this Bachelor’s thesis is to gain knowledge from the storm, it’s manifestations, detection through these speeches and then using this knowledge gained to design a simple indicator of thunderstorm’s (lightning), which will operate on the principle of counting flashes. The drafting of the principles and use of simple electronic component’s. The result of all this work is making a functional indicator of the sample.
Storms at the Airports and During Flight - Observation and Forecast
Novozámský, Adam ; Hudec, František (referee) ; Krška, Karel (advisor)
This thesis is focused on describing convectional storms and all the phenomena that goes along it. Marginally describes methods of storms prediction, ways of its observation and some simple principles, which every pilot should know and follow in cases, that he meet’s storm during flight. In the end, the success of storm prediction using CAPE index is assessed.
Thunderstorms occurrence in the Czech Republic
Kovář, Jan ; Krška, Karel (referee) ; Jebáček, Ivo (advisor)
This bachelor thesis focuses on storm situations in the Czech Republic and their occurrence in the period 1961-2020. It analyses the conditions of occurrence and appearance of thunderstorms and describes the storm activity at Karlovy Vary, Prague-Ruzyně, Brno-Tuřany and Ostrava-Mošnov airports in the period between 2001-2020. Marginal mention is made of the phenomena accompanying the storm, conditions of its passage and methods of detection.
Design and construction of measuring equipment for lightning research
Kirsanov, Ivan ; Krajsa, Ondřej (referee) ; Roubal, Zdeněk (advisor)
The main aim of this semester work is the design of meter of an electrostatic field in the open landscape. The theoretical part focuses on describing the theory of the creation of an electrostatic field and on proven measurement methods. The practical part of the bachelor's work is focused on the design of a measuring instrument, selection of components and justification. The practical part includes a block diagram of wiring.
Wind shear as a dangerous fenomenon in aviation
Novozámský, Adam ; Jebáček, Ivo (referee) ; Krška, Karel (advisor)
This thesis is about wind shear and its influence on aviation. There is wide theoretical description of wind shear and it’s implemented into aviation practice. There are also methods of observation, forecasting and reporting, for both pilots and meteorologist described. In this thesis, pilots can find useful recommendations for dealing with wind shear during the flight. Every reader can also read about famous aviation accidents and look at models of weather that caused those accidents. At the end of thesis there are analyses of a rawiosonde measurements related to wind shear reports. This whole thesis is focused on increasing awareness of wind shear in aviation from angle of view of both pilots and aviation meteorologist.

Knowledge of the Principles of Public Behaviour in Emergencies among Ninth Grade Pupils of Primary Schools in Prague and Litoměřice
Reiser, Jan ; Fiala, Miloš (advisor) ; Vilášek, Josef (referee)
Title: Knowledge of the Principles of Public Behaviour in Emergencies among Ninth Grade Pupils of Primary Schools in Prague and Litoměřice Objectives: The diploma thesis aims to determine level of knowledge of principles of public behaviour in emergencies among ninth grade pupils in Prague and Litoměřice, specifically floods, chemical accident, fires and storms. Methods: compilation, survey questionnaire, analysis Results: Knowledge of the Principles of Public Behaviour in Emergencies among Ninth Grade Pupils were above average. Success rate of right answers was detected at 76 %. The knowledge of this specific field is sufficient due to overview teaching. At only three questions the answers did not exceed 50 %. As a weak spots can be indicated knowledge about general warning and principles during chamical accident. In comparation Litoměřice had better results by two percentage points than Prague. Men did less wrong answers than women by 4 %. Keywords: flood, fire, chemical accident, storm, evacuation, questionnaire
The catastrophic flood in the year 1872 and its causes
Němeček, Ondřej ; Soukupová, Jana (advisor) ; Vokoun, Martin (referee)
The work deals with the floods of 25 and 26 May 1872. Its aim is to gather historical mentions of the flood, especially from the chronicles and from the press. From every historical record of the evaluation l will write important information related to the event, eg. the beginning of the storm, weather before the storm, the maximum height reached levels etc. On this basis, I will try to describe the causes of the flood, its flowage and consequences. Ideally I will discover in the records the facts that are still hidden from the professional community. The conclusions they arrive at work, will be compared with studies from the past.
